This could affect how much you like them\/how well the date goes and there\u2019s no need to talk about it. Keep conversation light hearted and get to know each other.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>Previous partners.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Do you really want to know what their last partner was like? You\u2019ll probably just end up comparing yourself to them which is never a good thing. You also probably don\u2019t want to know how many previous partners they\u2019ve had or how many dates they\u2019ve been on &#8211; it\u2019s never what you want to hear!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li>Money.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Never ask how much they earn or tell them how much you earn. Either way you won\u2019t come across well. Keep it to simpler topics like hobbies or even just what they do for work.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li>Religion.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Religion can be a very personal subject. Many people will not agree on religious subjects so it\u2019s best not to bring this into conversation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li>Marriage\/children.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>This is definitely not a topic for a first date! You don\u2019t want to scare them off so don\u2019t bring up commitment until you\u2019re both sure that\u2019s where your relationship is heading.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"6\">\n<li>Work.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>You can absolutely find out what each other does for a living but don\u2019t moan about not liking your job or how much you dislike your colleague &#8211; your date isn\u2019t interested! Also you don\u2019t know if your date knows anyone you work with so it\u2019s best not to moan about them!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"7\">\n<li>Yourself.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>You will of course be talking about yourself when your date asks questions about you but don\u2019t keep talking about yourself unprompted. Ask your date questions about themselves rather than banging on about yourself all the time.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"8\">\n<li>What you\u2019re looking for.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Don\u2019t get into a conversation about what sort of person you\u2019re looking for, it only shows you as being high maintenance or picky (you\u2019re allowed to be picky, just don\u2019t let them know that!).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"9\">\n<li>Your own appearance.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If you put yourself down, your date won\u2019t find this attractive. If you big yourself up they won\u2019t find this attractive either.
